This festive holiday wedding in New Jersey was truly a dream come true! Elizabeth and Nick’s big day at The Olde Mill Inn, was not only a celebration of their love but also a showcase of how magical winter weddings can be. The venue sparkled with lights and Christmas trees, creating a warm, festive ambiance that perfectly matched the couple’s holiday-themed vision.
Festive Holiday Wedding
Since Elizabeth & Nick’s wedding took place in December, the theme was Christmas and pine trees. The couple knew early on that they wanted a festive holiday wedding, which is why we captured their engagement portraits at a Christmas tree farm the year prior! See their cozy engagement session here! I love how their engagement photos tied into their wedding day. This gave them beautiful photos to use for their Save The Dates and other items that went along with their vision.
The wedding party attire perfectly complemented the holiday theme. The bridesmaids wore rich burgundy velvet dresses, while their white and red bouquets added a classic holiday touch. These carefully planned details carried the Christmas spirit through every aspect of the day.
One of the most memorable parts of their wedding day was their decision to incorporate their new home into the celebration. Taking their wedding portraits in their backyard among the stunning pine trees was a genius idea. Elizabeth had described them as beautiful, and she was absolutely right—they looked like something out of a winter fairytale. The pine trees gave the portraits a magical “Narnia” vibe, while also adding an extra layer of meaning and personalization to their photos.
One of my favorite moments was capturing Elizabeth and Nick in front of the Christmas trees at the reception. It was a tender, picture-perfect moment. Elizabeth and Nick’s wedding was proof that winter weddings have a special kind of magic. The cozy atmosphere, meaningful details, and holiday spirit made their day unforgettable.
