I first met this amazing couple when I captured their two part engagement session at a local winery and on the beach in Sea Bright, NJ. Instantly, I could tell that not only were these two a perfect match, but their wedding day was going to be incredible. I am happy to report that my instincts were spot on, and their romantic spring wedding in Spring Lake, NJ felt like it was straight out of a storybook. Love, laughter, and unforgettable moments filled their day, from meaningful locations to a joyful grand exit and a lively reception. Everything was perfect!
A Romantic Spring Wedding Day
The day started with the bride and groom getting ready. The bride had a memorable first look with both her dad and her bridesmaids, before the big moment with Shane at the altar. His reaction to seeing Kat for the first time walking down the aisle was priceless. Their church ceremony was gorgeous and filled with so much sentiment and joy.
One of my absolute favorite moments from the day occurred right after they were pronounced husband and wife. Their grand exit from the church, with bubbles floating in the air and the pure joy on their faces, felt like a scene from a fairytale. Shane’s excitement after the ceremony was contagious, and you could feel the love and happiness radiating from both of them. Grand exits like these are what wedding dreams are made of—joyful, magical, and unforgettable.
Before heading to their reception, we took some post-ceremony photos at the church before heading to Spring Lake Devine Park. This location holds special significance for Kat’s family, as over 20 years ago, her parents had their own wedding portraits taken here. The lush spring greenery, blooming flowers, and timeless charm of the park made for breathtaking photos. We even captured some romantic shots on a wooden bridge and by the water.
Wedding Reception at Breakers Hotel on the Ocean
After capturing their dreamy portraits, we made our way to Breakers Hotel on the Ocean for the reception. The energy was incredible from the moment the doors opened. Friends and family filled the dance floor, celebrating Kat and Shane’s love all night long. It was the perfect way to wrap up such a beautiful spring wedding day—surrounded by love and laughter.
