I am in love with my recent romantic spring engagement at Longwood Gardens in PA! Emily and Jarid are an amazing, sweet couple and we had the best time walking and exploring the beautiful gardens together on a perfect spring day. Longwood Gardens is a must see in the PA area!
A Romantic Spring Engagement
Longwood Gardens is filled with breathtaking landscapes and gorgeous flowers from all over the world! With 400 acres to explore, there are plenty of amazing sites to see, and photo opportunities along the way! Emily, Jarid, and I had no problem finding beautiful settings for the engagement portraits. Between the colorful display of flowers, lush greenery, charming garden setting, and impressive building architecture there was no shortage of beautiful scenery!
It was easy to see that Emily and Jarid were made for each other! She works as a physician assistant and he is an EMT & firefighter! Both are incredibly selfless and kind people! As we toured the gardens and captured the two of them together, they told me all about their story!
Emily and Jarid’s Story
Their first date was at a local park in New Jersey. The day they were supposed to meet, the forecast was calling for rain. They decided to take a chance and go anyway. I am so glad they took that chance, as they ended up spending hours just talking and getting to know one another as they walked around the park. I think it is safe to say that the rest is history!
The proposal
“Jarid and I were visiting St. John in the US Virgin Islands. We both love the National Parks and were excited to cross another off of our list. After eating breakfast at a restaurant on the beach, we headed off to go explore the island. Jarid has his boating license and had rented a small boat for us to cruise around in. He took us to a secluded beach with no one else around and during a walk along the water’s edge he got down on one knee and proposed. Needless to say, I said, yes”
Their proposal is so romantic! Not many can say they got engaged on a secluded island! When I asked them if their engagement ring had a story, they told me that the ring is made up of a 3 stone emerald cut setting with a platinum band. They wanted a 3 stone design, as to them it represents their past, present, and future together. I absolutely love the meaning behind their ring and all it signifies to this couple!
