It’s the last post of my Wedding Experience series! I don’t know how you’ve been feeling reading about it but I’ve loved sharing with everyone my tips and process over the past couple of weeks. Sometimes writing about ourselves or our business, reminds us why we started. I know for me writing about my wedding experience has given me a newfound love for what I do! It’s sparked a new energy in me!

For my last post I’ll be sharing about creating your vendor list! This is the time that you will be putting together your “Dream Team of Wedding Creatives!” How do you start? Who do you choose? Help!

I have two more posts in my Wedding Experience Series that you can read here.

Today, I’m sharing some of my insider tips on how to choose and curate the PERFECT vendor list for your day! So where to start:

Tip One on Choosing Your Wedding Vendor

Search for Vendors on Instagram

I think the best place to find vendors is through other photographers on instagram! Search up photographers in your area (I’m betting you already have so many in mind) and scroll through their feed. Most, if not all, will have the vendors tagged in their posts.

Find images you love of florals, table scapes, back drops, dresses, etc. that way! You can navigate choosing vendors that way! Instead of going on a wild google goose chase- you can funnel it down this way! And most likely if you like the photographer, you’ll like the vendors and weddings there. So it’s a win win!

I attached a walk through below so you can know exactly what I mean!

You can head to my instagram to see all of the wonderful vendors I work with!

Tip Two on Choosing Your Wedding Vendors

Research Their Reviews

When sorting through list after list of your desired vendors, don’t forget to look up their client reviews! Yes it is so important that you LOVE their work but it is also equally as important that they treat people well! The last thing you need is to be overwhelmed on your wedding day! It is so important that your vendors are not only talented but that they treat people well. You want to work with vendors who serve you and take care of you. So, make sure you take them to read what other people are saying about them, because that’s what really matters.

Tip Three on Choosing Your Wedding Vendors

Choose Vendors that fit your personality

Just as it works in friendship and romantic relationships, you may not vibe with everyone! And that’s okay! A vendor may have a beautiful portfolio and amazing reviews but if you don’t feel great in your gut about working with them, that’s okay! You should choose vendors by their talents and by how they treat you, make you feel secure, and get you excited about your special day!

You can avoid having any weird or icky feeling on your wedding day, JUST by hiring people that make you feel good. I promise this will make your whole day feel so much better.

I hope you enjoyed this Wedding experience series and I hope you find it helpful and fun to follow along to! Leave a comment below telling me what you thought! Thanks for following along! XoXo Joie
